Our Story
The family-run business has been operating from our base near Malton in North Yorkshire for over 90 years.
John Lund started manufacturing field gates by way of diversification from the family farm. At the time he and his wife had two boys, who upon completing their education, entered into the family business. Although John hasn’t officially retired he has taken a step back from gate manufacturing and handed over the reins to his boys Thomas and William who have progressed and expanded the business over recent times. In order to remain competitive they are constantly updating their machinery and working practices and have expanded the collection of gates to those shown on the website today which includes bespoke entrance gates and garage doors. They take great pride in producing high quality products and employing a number of joiners from the local area.
Using the highest quality raw materials and our attention to detail we are able to achieve the high standards of craftsmanship and design that our customers expect. By carefully considering each client’s individual requirements we can offer unique solutions specific to their wishes. Our bespoke products are all hand made with passion and enthusiasm, from fully boarded entrance gates to spindled garden gates, accommodating all tastes and preferences.
Wherever possible we source our timber from local merchants who supply from FSC and PEFC woodlands, promoting sustainable forest management and helping to ensure our forests are alive for future generations.
